Thanks, they need some work to get them right. They look better in the pics as they're not showing the imperfections in the surface that need smoothing out. The flame thrower boxes need rebuilding. They're just not really suited for card then fibreglass. I have some sheet styrene that I'll be using for them.

I've also started building my RF. I'm not going for a standard one either.

A little update guys, I built this yesterday. It's housing for my comms antennea(sp?). I bought the aerial a while back, the original idea being I was gonna build some custom ears and incorperate that into the left one. I opted out so build this little piece to fix to the lid instead.

I think it looks Ok, I'm looking forward to painting this bucket now!!!

Thanks buddy, I forgot I hadn't posted pics of the new RF. Sorry about that. I built that a few days ago. It works, so it comes down and wraps around the right side of my visor, and then stowes away upright.

I was going to add lights to it, the oportunity was there. Though I left it plain. I may come back and upgrade that another time.

You could always shoot for some kind of mini LED screen and wire it to a cam in the back of the suit somewhere.

I've heard of others doing it. Didn't Novall Talon have a similar thing inside his lid?? He had small screen inside his bucket that gave a nightvision??? I could be way wrong here but I'm sure I remember someone having something like that.

I also though of trying to strip down a cell phone?? Kaving the keypad on a gauntlet, the mic and speaker/earpiece inside the lid. That would be cool to have.

Again, I'd have NO idea how to pull that off. Big ideas, no know-how.

Granted, that's more expensive than you would want to spend... but find a cheaper one and you're all set.

That is cool. Though the phone idea was so that you'd have a working comm system. The screen in my RF to navigate my menu and see what I'm doing, with the keypad on the gauntlet to use it.

That baby monitor is a pretty nice little gizmo too though. Especially with the IR.

Great news!! I managed to get some paint on this bucket today!! I'm very happy!

The silver turned out to be a little too bright so that'll need dirtying up a bit when I'm close to the end, but other than that I love my helmet now!! Still more paint to add but we're getting there!

I did manage to get some more paint onto it yesterday, I added some white killstripes. I opted for triangles though not blocky rectangles. They interlock in a one pointing up, one pointing down pattern and so on. The Mandalorian language/text looks pretty triangular to me so it made sense to me.

The visor should be in in an hour or so.
