My cheap collar and cod studs

Haven't seen any threads on collar studs, so thought I'd post my own

While doing my research for my ROTJ SE build I read that the original studs were made from computer keys, so I thought I'd make mine from some old computer keys I had, a bit of foamex and some filler

I had the exact same idea to do mine.

I can't tell from the photos, but did you sand down the tops so they are flat? They look like they will do the job.

I did the same. Sanded the tops flat and gutted the interior and then epoxied a nut to sit flush. I bondoed over the nut edges for extra stability. It's a very quick, cost effective solution. Yours look a lot neater though!

I didn't sand mine on the top flat 'Fettered', this was just a first attempt so I will probably go back and redo them and make sure I flatten the tops. Thanks for the comments guys
