MATTE or SATIN clear coat finish?

After finishing up my ROTJ Hasbro conversion, I went with a Satin clear gloss to finish and seal everything up, and I DO like it, but has anyone determined which would be a more accurate clear to use?
Matte or Satin?
I have seen examples that look like it could have been either.
I am contemplating another ROTJ Hasbro BS conversion paint job here soon and just wanna get all my essentials ready.

I think it's more of a personal preference. I prefer a satin finish on just about everything from my Boba Fett costume to the walls of my home.

After seeing the ROTJ helmet in an exhibit, I definitely saw it as a satin finish...
