That is a scanned picture from my father from back in 1998. It was called an ice storm... we got about 5 inches of ice. It was crazy... we didn't have any electricity for 13 days (consider that it was winter...). The army had to come to the help of the people... it was crazy I tell ya. People were all cuddled up all the time and none dared go out. We even got a small baby boom 9 months after that ice storm.
Here is a pic when they removed the ice on the street. We had to remove the same amount in our driveway afterwards because our cars were stuck in the ice.
