Jump suit modifications

Am just getting started making my jump suit, and i had a thought about it. I used to work on uhaul trucks and they had work coveralls for us, i was always ripping the seat of mine out when i'd bend over for a tool, my solution to this problem was to basically cut the suit in 1/2 (to pants and jacket) then re-attach the two parts with a girth of elastic.

Has anyone tried this or had a similiar problem with ripping their seat out?
