Hot Armor! Ouch! Post your Fett Injuries!!

You gotta be kidding me

I only wish I could have taken pictures of the injuries I've sustained in the last 4 yrs of Fett

Lemme see ...

MANY exacto slices. Dremel burns and cuts. Plaastic burns, metal in eyes, the list goes on. Two of the most memorable were a fiberglass cutting whell at 30,000 RPM right into my thingh (about 10 inches long and 1/8 th deep, and an exacto cut that almost cost me a finger :p

It should be noted, that just about any item that members have received from me, has my blood on it, somewhere ;) (no I don't have HIV or AIDS )

Seeker, you ROCK man for you pictorial documentation with stuff  :cheers

Box cutter, drawing toward myself cutting a piece of ABS, slipped and stabbed myself in the stomach. It went in about 3/4 of an inch and I have a nifty scar from that.

Lots of tiny metal slivers in my hands from cutting metal with a dremel.

Dropping a mold on my foot that weighed around 40 pounds...that one hurt but the mold survived undamaged. I had to actually go after it with a sledgehammer at a later date to break it up.

No injuries for me yet, but this one time my kid got a little too close to the Dremmel and........well, he has one arm left. J/K

You know what they say, " Only protect the eyes you want to keep."

Hah! That's messed up!

In only a year I have managed to acquire many Fett related injuries, cuts burns and what-not. Two weeks ago I cut the end of my middle finger off, about a half inch including a nice piece of the nail, with an xacto knife (thank god for super glue), but I have to say that the worst so far was from an unintentional run-in with 30 second 2 part epoxy. Let's just say that I was cautious before I used it the first time, but I will never use it a second time! You think that super-glue sucks when you try to peel it off...

I was trying to remove some dried superglue residue from a part of my gauntlet and nothing I tried worked. I finally resorted to 4 sticks of dynamite.

Blew myself to pieces.

Seriously, so far I guess I've been pretty lucky. No more than the usual X-acto cuts here and there.

I need to start taking photos of my injuries... But I guess I'm more worried about the amount of blood I have compared to finding the digital camera :).

i've done the between the fingers snip too. man, does that ever hurt!
Hah, mine didn't hurt, I wouldn't have known it happened if there weren't the excess of blood everywhere. I think my hand went into shock and didn't register the pain.

Now that's funny right there!

I just took out a rather larger chunk of knuckle on the scroll saw working on my Clone Rifle.

I was cutting a PVC pipe for a blaster barrel, and slipped... sliced my finger, and that little space between the index and middle fingers but good. Many obscenities and a peroxide treatment later, I was back to cutting, albeit more carefully than before :p

I have done tons of fun things to my self in persuit of this damn hobby. I sliced a nice deep cut in my inner thigh with a box cutter when opening a box (that was the first sign I should have stopped for the day), I have dozens of scars on my hands from other random cuts and burns. One of my favorite things was I was painting, using an automotive clear coat for something and I was holding the peice with my bare hand, needless to say I had a shiny hand. The fun part is when I went to take it off, it didn't want to come off I tried soap and water, sand paper nothing worked, so then I had the brilliant idea to use paint thinner, that worked to take the paint off, but it made my hand itchy. In about 20 min I looked down at my bright red swollen hand that itched like hell. For a month I had the worst rash I have ever had on that damn hand. I have also found out that the cheap testors airbrush propellent is toxic, I was finnished with the crap and going to toss the can so I figured I would empty the can first and just sprayed a bunch of it in my kitchen, I though I was going to die it was so hard to breath and my chest hurt, my eyes watered and burned and my nose burned. I couldn't go into my kitchen for like 3 hours before it cleared out.
