Help with FP v3 armor

So, I acquired a set of untrimmed, pretty much unopened FPv3 armor from another member here and noticed I'm missing a couple of things. I probably got them lost myself with the packing peanuts, but the cold cast resin insert for the center diamond is gone along with the covering for the chest lights. Poor diamond had nothing but the tape residue on it and the peanuts are long gone....

Not so worried about the covering for the lights as I figure I can find some kind of smoked acrylic somewhere to replace that. But the resin insert? I still have the one behind the ab plate and thought I could either try to see if I have enough there to cut it (and shape it) to make the diamond insert and still cover the hole-y triangle...

or...

I guess I could try my hand at cold casting a new one. Thanks to "search" and Cruzer I found this:

All of the pictured test pulls were achieved using their aluminum powder and *EP4101 clear polyester resin.

Would that clear polyester lay-up resin and aluminum powder be what I am looking for? I don't figure it could be too hard to create the mold given the size and relative lack of complexity.

Or is anyone out there just dying to help a brother out by casting a copy of theirs (assuming it's not already glued in place)? Compensation would not be a question!

I just hate that I have this incredibly accurate armor and in my haste to check it out I likely lost a couple of detail pieces.

Chris, you can always paint the middle piece silver....but I would recommend to take a really thin sheet of aluminum from home depot or something, and make the middle piece with that by cutting and sanding till smooth, in terms of the edges.... his version two armor was done that way, and the real metal look of the Aluminum with weathering just looks right....

i used scrap plastic with aluminum tape (the stuff you really tape ducts with, as opposed to duct tape).

On Alex's advice, I went and bought aluminum flashing in two different gauges this evening and some snips. There's enough there for me to have several go's at trying both gauges and getting the shape right with snips and dremel, so I think I'll be good.
