Helmet, gauntlet & knee

So I'm doing a scratch build of the armor, and I have a little problem on how to make the helmet, gauntlet, and knee.

So what will be the easiest way to make them?

What have you guys used in material and templates?

I do not have access to illustration boards.

What about plastic sheet? PVC 3mm thick "sintra" is what many people use for the armor, the helmet templates work best with thick paper stock or illustration board. Not sure if anyone's used sintra for the helmet.
