Hawk_Fett_ ESB Build

Nicely done and great looking kit. I do know of those long nights. I think at one point I was up till 2am (on a work night) getting it tweaked just right. Those pics look great too! Looks like much fun was had!

Thanks Irongladiator! Whew! That's rough on a work night man. I went to bed a shade after 3am last Saturday. But I got to sleep in. We had a blast though last night. The kids couldn't take their eyes off of Boba! It was encouraging to put everything on and see it in form. So much cooler than I expected and well received. I felt like Fett and that felt really cool.

Spectacular work, my friend! You certainly made it more than worthy of such an event. I also think it's great that it was a family affair. Your brother's Captain America kicks ass! I'm anxious to see what weathering and repainting you have in store.

Thanks MrFusion1138! I really appreciate the compliments. It has been a long build but I'm getting there. I also thought the Captain America was cool. I'm anxious to refine the Fett I have and make it more presentable.

I've got a few updates to share on my ESB build. I finally got around to painting the black areas in on the Gauntlets. I didn't have time to put the finishing touches on them before my first suit up but it was good enough at the time. I also painted the switches and darts. I might do some more weathering here and there on the left arm Gauntlet but I'm project complete on those. Now for an exciting update! I ordered some Mythosaur stencils from Jurassic_Fett. They are crisp and also take out the guess work. Big thanks to him for supplying these to the community. If you don't have a set, message him and get you some. This is the latest and greatest of Fett accuracy! I've also updated my right shoulder but will share that in a separate post. (Helmet and Armor cast by viva_fett on Instagram)

Another milestone complete. After USPS struck out on the first attempt to deliver to me they returned my harness overseas to Bigdane. I thought it had gotten lost, but he messaged me and luckily was able to send it back to me without issue. Long story short, it's here! Excellent craft, and I'm really digging the divers buckle. Big thanks to Big Dane for putting these together. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he has an open run right now on these if you are in need. Message him and get on the list! You won't be disappointed.

I remastered the right shoulder over the weekend. (The one I'm holding is the old one fyi) Took me nearly an entire day off and on getting it where I wanted it. I directly referenced @Jurassic_Fetts work on his own shoulders. Huge thanks to him for the reference photos. His paint skills are next level. It has really changed the quality of my shoulder for the better. There is a lot of detail, brush work, and I used Tamiya modeling pigment to weather/blend it more. This Fett is all rattle can, so the cans I used were a blend of Marigold and Rustic Orange to match the Pantone 152 CP. I used acrylics for the dark grey weathering and blended them with the Tamiya pigment. Next up is the right shoulder. I'm anxious to re-do it with the Jurassic Fett stencils!

My Clothears gloves came in and they are sweet! Huge upgrade from the makeshift gloves my wife and I made for a quick suit up. Such an important piece to the puzzle. Very happy with these.

Finally got around to installing my Jc27 beacon light on my Viva Fett Jetpack this past weekend. Such an awesome little setup. Did a side by side of the real deal. Angle/distance/lighting differences, but I'm pretty happy with it. I'm also working on my left shoulder remaster, and painting on the Jurassic_Fett Mythosaur skull tonight! Pretty stoked. Should have more updates to share soon.

Last night I painted on the Mythosaur skull from the latest and super accurate Jurassic Fett stencils. These are available for purchase through him. This is a much needed improvement. Very crisp. I also used a more accurate color this time around. Weathering/damage to come soon. Then I will be moving on to the chest armor.

Agreed!
1) Putting the decal on - Not a problem
2) Painting the decal - Not a problem.
3) Removing the decal.....
Super Nervous.gif

It's almost a 50/50 chance you're gonna ruin it as the fear is that some paint will peel off with it.

But.....when it doesn't! The feeling is like.....

So accurate!

I put the finishing touches on my shoulder armor last night. Had been working on it for a few days so it was nice to wrap this project up. If you haven't painted, or updated your shoulder, I highly suggest getting Jurassic Fetts Mythosaur stencils. The left shoulder is such an iconic piece of Fetts armor. Jurassic_Fett put a lot of work into making these happen. There is no doubt a huge improvement over my original shoulder. I will try to upload a side by side later tonight if I get the chance, but here is a few shots of it completed.

I couldn't live with the little inaccuracies on my shoulder so I had to re-do the re-do. Which is pretty much normal at this point for any Fett builder ha. I still need to add some more weathering/darken the area over the Skull, but feel much better after the edits to the edit. I changed the color of the gray damage and carefully removed, and repositioned the white damage on the left side. Also lightened up the damage on the bottom center part of the shoulder as well and weathered a little better.
