Upper Cheeks finished minus some weathering on the bottom rim of the jaw line. I do have a question. BudaFett On the lower left jaw line there were a few bright silver spots on the stencils so I masked for those. I just looked at Viva Fetts ESB by Superjedi and noticed he didn't include the little chrome/bright silver damage close to the visor on the lower cheek. Is that something I need to fix? or can I weather over it to blend it? The area in question is the last two pictures circled in red. Just curious if I need to cover that area or not. Thanks!

RafalFett could you confirm the bright silver damage on the lower left cheek as ok or a no go? I noticed on the ESB stencils they were there but some paint ups don't have them there. Curious on if I need to remove them. Thanks Raf

I think I overdid those 3 spots, although there is a bit of silver visible on the outside the torture chamber and the carbon freezer scenes:

On the post ESB helmet (ROTJ SE) there are some areas on the lower cheeks where the paint and the gel coat chipped off, and this is what is visible on my old stencils too (it's there on the ultimate stencils too, but not on my ultra ones):

Just correct those silver spots with the cheek green, then do a light misting at the base line of the cheeks (as seen in the last photo).

Masking and shooting the dome. Bright silver/slate layers are done aside from some fine details which will be added later. Pretty excited. A huge step getting this part done. Was masking away and I look up and there is my daughter with a chicken in the house.

My 2nd helmet, and first time painting kill stripes. Whew. Glad that's done. The lighting doesn't indicate as good of a fade as the eyeball shows but am very happy so far with this. The kill stripes are scary to me. A lot of work laid down to this point and your essentially painting over it. I used Delucks designs killstripes to give me a rough reference of size needed and made my stencil from his decal set. I had one set of stripes painted and had to go back and re-mask, tape, and shoot them again as the first set were too big and too yellow. My second repaint is much nicer. I got a good look at superjedi 's Viva Fett helmet and tried to get the color to closely match. Why not use that masterpiece as a reference right?! The last picture is the corrected final draft. The way too yellow stripes are the mistake run. If these upload out of order the orange"r" one is the correction and final. That was fun. I think next I'm going to shoot the red. And then come back and do the finer details, scratches, smudges, and all the goodies. Thanks for all the feedback so far. It has made this journey much easier on me.

I agree man! I was pretty terrified at the thought of spraying over the dome work, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just a ton of work to re-work it after I screwed it up the first time ha. The damage front to back tells a cool story like Fett has been around that line of work for a while which is pretty freakin cool. They put a lot of thought into this character.

Helmet update! Can't leave my bro's hanging. I've been chipping away at the last section. Finally shot the red layer. Still have a few different colors to apply and also several small details/scratches/stains/the thumb smudge/ect. The main parts are done thankfully. Starting to look like Fett.
