Mandalorian Merc First build, new to the site

Hey all, this is my first time trying to do something like this, so I have basically 0 experience, but things have been fun so far.
All of the armor I've made so far has been freehanded and cut out of sheet metal that's about 1mm thick.



The neck piece didn't look quite right to me, and after looking at pictures of Boba I realized I need to cut some metal off from the bottom of the plate to make things thinner.

In my intro thread I posted a jumpsuit that will be going under the vest, but I'll post it again to make things easier



Anyways, the build I'm going for is based off of Boba a lot, but as my title says, it's a custom suit, it's not supposed to be a Boba build.

I'm glad I decided to do this because it's been a blast so far, and I hope everyone can critique me and give me advice and opinions!

Looks cool Brother! i would round off the edges a bit on your armor but everything looks cool. Are you looking to to be Mando Merc approved? if so check out their site. I'm always interested to hear what color schemes people are thinking about. Keep having fun Brother, feed us more pics, Take Care

Thanks for the reply, I'll round out those edges tomorrow morning.
I'm actually not familiar with the mando merc website, I'll have to check out out.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with a tan/Brown and olive drab green paint scheme to keep with the military theme.

Cut the neck piece to the correct size and I'm working on seeing the Velcro to the vest. Back piece is almost finished being cut out, after that's done I'm gonna start drafting designs for the knee pads

You might find in wearing them then need some shaping to your body.

Nice colour scheme. I like the shirt between the vest and the flight suit, it breaks up the colours nicely. Is that a regular t-shirt?
