Not sure how I missed this one. Well, as much as I'm ashamed of you for turning, you did an awesome job! Your weathering is incredibly accurate, you should be proud.
well I made the grid... allthough its not 100% accurate, as there was no room inside the jet pack to get it up a little higher... but I suppose this will do with this pack... I kinda like the electrical wiring I placed in there...
Oh man, turning to ROTJ from ESB.....I dunno man, I think you've gone done & lost it all kidding aside, that is an outstanding paint job there!:cheers pat yourself on the back for that one. That pack does rock!
It's great to see it all step by step with all that pics, I guess I will lend those and the painting describtions for my jp project (if it ever will reach the stage of painting ).
I have the same jet pack and I know some of the things you had to do to it to get it to look like that. All I can say is what a great job you have done with it. I did change the exhaust hole like you have and what a pain that was. Your painting is fantastic you have a great eye for color matching.
anyways, thanks for the compliments people!! That means so much to me, especially because look up to your work, so this is really appreciated!!
it looks fine I gues, but it could be better, only the blue was sprayed on, the rest is hand painted, so there are some brush stripes here and tehre, aswell as tiny pits of dirt and stuff... someday Im gonna go Air-brush, I do think doing it all with a hand and a brush gives it a personal look... to me anyway, because im also a painter (just paintworks and drawings)
thnx again people!!
maybe you'd like to see my gaunt conversion aswell... somewhere in the armor section.. I know some of you allready have but thought I'd just say it... ill find the link...
Ive discovered teh sewing machine... currently working on gloves and a new flak vest, here's the cape I made, it's not the roght material, but it looks ok, it's also very light, so it waves woth the wind elegantly, sorry.. just love the way the soft parts move... call me nuts...
