Alright guys, figured I'd share some images from SW Galaxy's Edge last weekend. Both Deadland and I were able to go opening day which was the 31st. I'm also excited to share I was fortunate enough to grab hold (with the help of a buddy) a couple more reservations....SO looks like I'll HAVE to go 3 more times
! That said, I will be attending with the whole family in a couple weeks, followed by Fettseven, my dad and I end of month
..... For those interested, a few of my initial thoughts are as follows:
* Disney absolutely did it right!
* The attention to detail is absolutely spot on. I even tried to find recognizable greebles in standard tools used....there were no Flat head or Phillips head screws found! Everything is "in universe"!
* All of the cast members use "in universe" dialogue throughout the experience......
* The food is exquisite and artisan for the most part. For any "foodies" you will not be disappointed. If your into healthy/ organic food like I am....you'll find that as well. I highly recommend the "Ronto Wrap"!
* The blue milk is amazing!....seems to be blend of rice milk, dragon fruit as well as other berries.
* The Falcon is BREATHTAKING to say the least. I know we've all been there at some point but the size, scale and magnitude were unexpected! I was speechless.... Another nice touch was that they've even managed to make the line waiting bearable allowing the guests to butt up against the ship, followed by placing computer boards, buttons, hoses and the like within arms reach...yes, you can touch many of these things. The holding area is smack dab in the ships cargo hold! Feel free to play some dejerak, grab hold of the "puffy" walls and just take it all in. The ride itself is fast paced, interactive and just hilarious in and of itself!
* Nearing the end of my 4 hour block (Deadland managed to finagle 8 LMAO!) I moseyed around taking it all in. As a result of my time window being 8PM-12AM, I was able to experience the 14 acres lit up in all her glory! It was spectacular to put it mildly. The hustle and bustle as I wound through the shops was reminiscent of my travels through Europe….Again something to both appreciate as well as experience.
Not super detailed but wanted to give you guys a sense of the park. Below are some images for your viewing…ENJOY! I plan to add more images to this thread upon my returnS ; )
