Did Anyone else see this?

This is really random but its worth checking out. I was watching the movie Kung Pow last night and saw a seen where a guy was wearing shoes that really looked like Fetts shoes. Now for people who dont know, Kung Pow is a comedy where the film makers took an old kung fu movie and dubbed it over, they also added in a few actors. (its pretty funny). So im guessing this movie, the one that was dubbed over, is def before ESB was made. The scene where i saw these shoes is when the actor (chosen one) has just learned how to remove the metal pyramid shapes from the wooden dummies. He is contemplating different attacks and in one of his thoughts he gets kicked in the nuts. The camera stops and pauses on the scene where he is getting in the goodies. You can see everything but the toe of the shoe. The sole is so close to fett shoes and so is the back of the shoe. I really suggest watching this scene!!! These shoes look so much like Fett's.

Yeah, I saw those too. The old "Kung-fu" or martial arts boots...I did a double-take as well. They'll turn up, I feel we're getting close lately

I did some research on Kung Fu shoes. I couldnt find any old pictures of them, but i could find pics of new shoes. They have a square toe (some more square than others), a flat sole, canvas top, and they slip on. here are links to sites that have them...the shoes also run under $7.00. I recommend taking a look at them, they bear a very strong resemblance.

I really would love to watch this scene, but unfortunately, I can't see myself renting that movie!! It just looks so dumb.
Is it actually funny?
Besides, I don't wanna tell my old lady I wanna rent it to see a guy get smashed in the nards!!:wacko

I thought it was a hoot and a half. It's by the same guy who did Thumb Wars. It's stupid as hell, but funny.

I think it's an acquired taste. I love it cause it's so random. Some people hate it for it's silliness. If you like Monty Python or Leslie Nielson, you'd probably like it.
