Im looking at a Webley thats currently out of the country(USA) and am wondering if it needs to be deactivated or not to be brought here. anyone got an answer?

Webley's are classified as flare guns, so it doesn't need to be deactivated. That's the reason several on the forum have bought them through on-line auctions and had them mailed.

How does everyone keep finding these things? My searches are almost always expired auction or sale links. :( Makes me sad that I sold both of mine. :(

if my memory serves me well, there was a topic here somewhere where a member stated that customs got a hold of his webley and wanted to destroy it. he was lucky that he could proof that his webley was deactivated and it was released to him. it is my understanding that it is not legal to import weapons to the u.s. you might have to check with an importer of weapons to get clarification.

Customs wouldn't know any awesome piece of history if it walked up and bit them on the bum. Geez!

On a slightly more fun note, this just came today:
