I'm building these parts for another person. I'm not sure if they're a member here.
The armor has gotten an entire revamp because the trimming modifications weren't giving me enough accuracy. I'll post pics up soon in a new thread for the armor. Thanks for the input.

I know this is a very old thread and I apologize for the new post. However I recently reworked my master for a couple of members after the silicone tore in the original mold. I finally reached a point where I was happy with the results after making improvements to the cheeks, ears, keys and overall symmetry of the helmet. So I just thought I'd share since the v1 had numerous inaccuracies due to the lack of reference pics at that time. [emoji846]

Well here is the first and only cast that was needed and is finally done. What was initially a request for a single helmet, turned out to be a full v2 revision and molding project!...so glad this is finally completed. [emoji106]

Very nice looking. I too have ventured into casting up a Deathwatch helmet. I just applied the last layer of silicone for the mold and now am working on the registration keys for the mother shell.

I absolutely, positively don't need one, but I'd grab one if you offered these for production. I still marvel at your work on the Mrs' Bo bucket..!

Very cool buddy and great start. I wish I would have taken progress pics of my molding process if it would have helped out. I did take one in the very beginning before the first coat of silicone. Here are also a few of my mold if they can help. In total I applied 14 coats of silicone by pouring it over the helmet and brushing it around. Towards the end I trimmed off the excess build up at the bottom to create the lip. If I had to do it over again, I could have gotten away with 10-12 coats of silicone which would have made the mold easier to handle when peeling it back to release the helmet.

Actually I remembered after the fact that this was supposed to be a CC cast, so this helmet will go in the cargo hold soon if the other person doesn't want both as they have mentioned. I won't know until after the weekend if this extra one will be available, otherwise I'm always willing to make them on an individual basis.

I've been asked about the size of this helmet, so here are a couple pics next to a BKBT Jango for size comparison. It was originally sculpted from a BKBT Jango that was elongated to mimic the cartoon look and fit, however, the internal circumference at the brow remained at 28". Coincidentally my Bo Katan rangefinder stalk base and ear cap are identical in diameter to these ears, so it could be modified to have a rangefinder.
