Bo Katan Belt Help

I’m seeking some help and opinions on Bo Katan’s belt. I’m currently making templates for all the ammo pouches but am needing help with the belt under that (similar to Jango’s bolo belt under his ammo pouches). To me it looks like her belt has round leather strips wrapping around just like Jango does (minus the braided look). But I am not sure if it is that or just grooves cut into leather. I found some round leather that matches the thickness of the strips (about 6mm) that could work. But am seeking thoughts and opinions.
