Blizzards ESB WIP

I figured it was time to start a thread as I am getting close to getting all of my kit in. Here are some pics of progress and a list of parts

Flight Suit, Girth belt, ammo belt, and boots - MoW (second hand)
Jetpack - DVH, painted (attempted by me using Lou’s “how to”, Dakota’s beacon inbound
Helmet - 2/11, currently being painted by Minitefett
EE-3 - Stormrider
Gauntlets - DVH, getting painted by Alex Lane, flamethrower by Combatbaby
Armor - DVH paint
Neck seal and Flak - Arkady
Gloves - Mike M
Holster -
Harness - hopefully a Bigdane
Sidearm -

Next step for me is to start fitting the armor to the vest, using the pin-clutch method.

Got the studs attached using the aluminum plate idea. Also, got in my helmet liner in from whiteshadow and it looks awesome. One question, I know the cape it attached via stud,
Do most ppl just poke a whole in cape and
Attach it or put an eyelet in the cape and run
That through the stud screw? Thanks.

I used a vintage Heiland flash tube. I know the MPP is the more accurate but this was my budget opinion.

I really need a helland but they don't come up for sale that much in the UK

Yea, i found one on ebay luckily.

Test fittings. Had a sleepy wife helping but not too bad. Need to bring it all in together to the center a bit more and I need to hem the bottom of the vest as it is a good bit beyond the 1/2 inch allowed. It gives me some direction though.

Got bumped up to the open list for Big Dane's harness, so one more thing to check off of the list. Also, my ToEleven helmet paint up by Luis (minutefett) is nearing completion and looking great.

Question. How does everyone mount their chest display to their armor? Thanks.

Mine is currently attached with Velcro. It will be glued in when weather is better for getting a good cure. Also want to make sure I don’t kill the film over the chest light slots.

I attached my display to a thin piece of plastic and stuck a piece of self adhesive 2inch velcro on the back I then attached SA velcro top and bottom of the underside of the armour . A 2 inch non SA velcro then holds it all securely in place

I made a little mount out of foam then just used gaffers tape to secure.

Test fitting #2 with the mounted chest display. I think this is closer to good to go. Now I need to alter the bottom of the vest to get under the CRL specs of 1/2 inch. And I got in my beacon from Dakota.

Hemmed up the flak vest and finally got to strap on the cod piece and belts.

Here is the suit up of what I have so far. I know it is rough, I think back to my first scout suit ups ha. I’m going to use garters to pull the top of flightsuit (2 piece MoW Verizon) down, taking the slack out of that.
