heres Pictures of the new boba fett outfit and honestly not much of a fan of the blue on the jet pack and the brown boot gaiters.

I'm with you on both. The blue against the green doesn't look good and I prefer the black boots/gaiters to these reddish ones...

I like some aspects but other things boggle my mind. His jetpack is now similar to Bo Katan's. It's obviously different. Yet it still has the damage patch on the back. Every single piece of armor is different. I don't get it. I prefer the Mando season 2 repaint to this honestly. Brown and Black just don't look good together lol.

In my opinion the last thing a bounty hunter wants to be is conspicuous. To this end I see the
ESB color scheme as the best balanced and most indicative of his characters profession. It was great in the
beginning and color change just for the sake of change may not be in the best interest of his identity. Wasn't his
ominous, sinister, stay in the background look good enough. Well what's done is done. Maybe he'll take charge in the
dark shadows of Jabbas palace.

I'm taking the look of the action figure with a grain of salt. The brown boot covers look a lot nicer in the trailer.
I'm a big fan of the armor changes. The vambraces have gained a lot of detail and are more low profile, more "Mando"-like. I'm digging the extra detail on the belt and the fact that the belt buckle seems more functional. Overall everything seems to fit him a lot better. I see it as purely a creative/aesthetic choice. It's more the spiritual successor to his MS2 armor than a direct descendant. Maybe we learn in the show that he's had it completely redone, maybe they never address it. Point is it's two separate shows, two different creative styles.
But I mean I'm already deep into my MS2 armor so I probably won't be touching the BoB armor any time soon. For now I'll say the MS2 armor is what I prefer, haha.

but hes not a bounty hunter anymore... ;-) hes moving into crime lord status. and crime lords should be conspicuous; at least to other crime syndicates. so they know who you are and not to mess with you. cant wait to see how it unveils.

this is exactly why im working on my hard pieces (up to a point), and reserving my soft parts until after BoB comes out. havent decided which way i want to go. i really liked the look in MS2, but on the other hand i really like the kama on this new build, and i think the new brown gaiters could be good. kinda matches the belt and holster. we'll see. def agree the blue on jetpack looks clashy. hope the figurine is off on that point.

For my build I honestly might just do a mix between the MS2 and his new book of boba look. Not really looking for accuracy. i Still can’t get myself to like the blue on the jet pack though….

Dictators want to be conspicuous. Crime lords, like the Godfather, stay in the background and let others do their dirty work. It looks like Boba
may be a little of both. Anyway wouldn't the same methods for fooling a bounty be just as sinister for outsmarting a crime syndicate.
Looking forward to how the plot unfolds.

Yeah, that's the big miss for me. I don't like the blue up against the green. I really love the MS2 jetpack look...

The original Fett costumes for the OT were a triumph of design. This community's existence is a testament to that. The new design is nothing of the sort.

Hm... give it time. It needs to age to show its true potential, just like wine or whisky. We may well in a year or 2 sit here and go "yup, its boring". But who knows... maybe not.
I have witnessed this with the Cobb Vanth costume variant. I found it absolutely disgusting when it premiered. Now its my favourite variant of the "new Bobas".
Regarding the Bob (Book of Boba) suit... well its got parts I like and parts I dislike. The helmet is e huge dislike for me, but we will see how that develops.
Just remember... from the story it would make ZERO sense to have him appear just as he did in ESB or RotJ. Its GOT to be different after all he has gone through. Then there is the question of enabeling stunt scenes in the costume, which dictates a lot I can imagine.
Also... there is an inherent bias in your judgement. Its called the "sunk cost fallacy", a phenomenon widely discribed in psychology and important to look out for in business.
How does it translate into us Fett-heads?
As one of the premiere experts on the ESB Fett that you are, you have invested massively into the "old look". So of course you are going to defend it.
If we look at the response and WIPs of newer members though, we can already see quite a lot of enthusiasm for the new look as well

I think that what people forget is the time and era you watch this. Everyone 'hated' the prequels... well except that through those movies a whole new generation of SW fans emerged or were drawn into the OT because of it. I think Ewan and Hayden back together in the upcoming Obi Wan series is like a serious thing suddenly a lot of people are looking forward to. Younger fans have grown older (like myself, hopped on board around '97) and maybe just watched or started watching the sequels... maybe even with their kids... which yeah... everyone hates at the moment?
I think a lot of younger fans will be drawn to this look more than the original, because it's what was on screen for them when it forms their perception of what Star Wars is, how they experience it and what it means for them. Dressing my daughter up as Rey because she wanted it was just awesome. The tention in the cinema on her face and throughout the whole experience during the Rise of Skywalker was intense. How could I, a Star Wars fan, hate that? I loved every second of it. Ofcourse I have my fav movies and least fav movies but well... It's all part of something bigger for me.
Boba's new look... It's something new.... Well my favourite Metallica albums are Load and Reload... So we'll see...I know, shoot me XD
I mean.... these pics are golden to me. The oldest now doubts between a Sabine Wren outfit or a Fennec Shand... well... can't wait to make either one of them for her

I guess im in the minority, i like the look, i feel like it tidied up the look for MS2. Not a fan of the gators in brown though, but i can overlook that 
. i also love the blue on the Jetpack lol. So much so, i plan to do a mando using that color scheme. Keep in mind also that staute/toy whatever it is the blue is WAY too bright and ruins the look, makes it look silly. The first pic of the actual pack the blue is MUCH more muted and i think it looks great!. I also really like this pack in general as it pulls from the Bo Katan pack A LOT. That said, nothing will ever beat the OT looks.

I don't disagree I'm biased. Absolutely I'm biased. But I'm not sure its really sunk cost fallacy when you simply prefer DaVinci to Jackson Pollock.
Btw, I have two 8 year old boys and they don't like the new design either. Maybe it's genetic. (or possibly indoctrination?
)
