I should add that I use a hinge on one side and the magnets on the other. With that setup and the strength of the magnets I use there is no accidental seperation of the gauntlets.
I use some long thin rectangular magnets that are polarized so that they attract each other along the thin edge instead of face to face. That keeps them from taking up much room in the gauntlet. I have been using them for years and have had no issues. I get all my magnets at kjmagnetics.com...
There is a picture of Sandy dying the PP2 gloves so whatever material was used for the patches has to be a blend for it to take some of the dye like it did. Of course I guess she could have been using a special dye but we don't know.
Really well done. The heating method is how I shape my visors but I lay it on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven to heat up, but the results are just the same.
That was the one I was thinking about catbread.
If they could get the left side (as you look at it) to fit back better than the right (which looks to be the case) they may have had to use more filler towards the right side and so it would dip down there more.
By the way notice some of the...
If you look at this pic under the right arrow (left side as you look face on at it) there is a definite crack line that is also where the beginning of the wave starts.

I thought I saw a picture some time ago of the inside of the ESB helmet that showed damage to the front brow line. It looked to me like the helmet had been dropped and a chunk of the brow broke off and was glued back on. If they got it set too low after the repair it would give the bow a little...
I think the ESB has a little more flare than the other versions. Not much but a little. Who knows why but it could be anything from being not fully cured when pulled from the mold or from the way the visor is installed pushing the sides out which may also account for some of the cracking we are...
I didn't like it. The dialogue was too leading. The jokes were bad, and the depth of each character was too shallow. In every other film you didn't have to be given a whole primer on each character in the movie to figure out who they were and what they had been doing. I also just didn't like...
I don't think they are lights. If you watch the supertrooper footage you can hear close to the end them say that there is a copper piece there. I would assume the ESB gauntlets would be the same. I don't know if the whole side piece is a found item that was made of copper or if they put a...
