Hello from Ireland

New Hunter
Hi all, I am Michael and I am an active member of the Emerald Garrison Star wars costuming club in Ireland. I have been trooping with them for four years now and have 3 cleared costumes and a fourth nearly completed. I have a SDS Strom Trooper which I bought for my fortieth birthday, I bought it before I knew anything about costuming clubs and planned to put it on a manikin, paid big money to have it built then once I found out about the EG I had to do a lot of work to get it cleared. I have a Rots CC Neyo, which I bought complete from another member of the club so I did no work on it. I have a MC Bikerscout, so I am well used to waiting for quality items to come, I didn't do any of the sowing on the soft parts. Finally I have a TM Stormtrooper which I built from kit and is around 95% complete and is/will be up to 501st Centurion standard. So after spending big bucks on SDS armour and then learning about really accurate TKs afterwards and who the venders are I feel that's not a mistake I will make again. I know through the TB & TK builds how important research and reading build threads is. I would be interested in doing an ESB Fett and I am in no hurry if it takes 2-3 years to cover the costs and get the parts, so be it. I don't know much about Fett , I can tell the difference between ESB and Rotj armour but couldn't tell the differences between the lids if the were sitting together. One last thing to say is if or when I purchase armour I won't have the skill needed to paint that would be a real worry. If anyone wants to see pictures of any of my armour I would be happy to share.

Cheers Michael

Hi Michael.

Just logged on to write my own introduction and was surprised to see 'Welcome from Ireland'.
Great minds think alike... lol

I would recommend looking around the forum and finding these things out yourself...it will give you a pretty good picture of things once you're done. Read, read, and read!
