New Hunter
To answer your first question, nope, I haven't even walked into a dispensary.

Now that that's outta the way, the reason I'm here. I'm looking to start an ESB Boba and as I've been told this is the place. I'd say i'm a friend of Robert Pareso, aka Major so I've got a real font of information to work with. We're both working on HiC panels off and on, lately more on than off and that's me kicking his butt to get started. I'm a bit more carpentry savvy than him so I've been helping out here and there with his build. Aside from HiC that I'm actively building I'm also doing a fully RC R2D2. Too many big ticket items but the misses lets me do what I want with the money as long as the bills are paid and we can still go have fun so while the sky isn't the limit it's certainly nice to have someone else involved and understanding.

I've already talked with him a bit about vendors to use for Boba and have come up with this so far:

Helmet - Animefan
Armor - RKD
Gauntlets - RKD
Jetpack - MoW
Shoes - MoW
Metal parts - MachineCraft Replicas
Gloves and Cape - VillanWorks
Shin Tools - Darth Vorhees
Girth belt - Woodman
Ammo belt - Delta 13
Rifle - MLS
Holster - MLS
Flight suit - Lonestar
Vest - Lonestar
Wookie Braids - Woodman

All of this is mostly for me to have a place to keep track of things and get some feedback on weather or not I'm barking up the right tree here or not. Anyone wants to chime in I'm more than open to suggestion. I've put together a scratch built Vader before, so sticker shock on vendor prices shouldn't be too bad.

I'm also looking to sell a complete Jodo I've got. If anyone is interested let me know, it's complete and 501st approved already, one of 6 in the legion I believe but I haven't checked so I don't know for sure the exact number. I like the Jodo but I do get called Boba so I may as well actually be the guy I want to be. Hopefully I can get it sold fast so I can fund this project and get it moving quickly.

Looks like we're creeping in all over the place. And yea there's a lot of familiar faces around, makes finding things and getting answers to questions a lot easier.

Good list going so far, but I would make some changes if you were to take suggestions. Keep in mind that my suggestions are just that, suggestions, everyone on your list makes solid and quality products, but I personally would take Fettpride over any vendor out there. Most readily available helmets are original Fettpride projects, and most readily available armor sets are heavily based off of Fettpride's v3 armor. You can not go wrong with Fettpride, there is a little bit of a wait though, but if you don't mind a 4 month wait for a flight suit then I don't see why people cry about a 6 month wait for literally the best hard parts there are.

Helmet - Animefan Fettpride
Armor - RKD Fettpride
Gauntlets - RKD Fettpride
Jetpack - MoW Fettpride
Shoes - MoW
Metal parts - MachineCraft Replicas There are dozens of machiners, do some shopping around before buying from a specific one.
Gloves and Cape - VillanWorks
Shin Tools - Darth Vorhees Amazon.com for original pieces
Girth belt - Woodman amazon.com, plus some red paint
Ammo belt - Delta 13
Rifle - MLS Or Stormrider
Holster - MLS or Stormrider
Flight suit - Lonestar
Vest - Lonestar or Batninja

Appreciate the feedback on the list. It's just a jumping off point for me to see who does what and get opinions. I know it's the same way in the Vader world and I wouldn't expect anything different here. Honestly for me the biggest thing won't necessarily be wait time, but price. I'm going to be reaching out to people and getting quotes and making comparisons. I may be willing to pay more for something deemed better or go with the cheaper option. With my Vader I spared no expense and stopped counting the cost after it went past $4500 so I'm not concerned with the total investment.

Welcome and have fun with your build. Your'e headed in right direction. You know people around here and know how much this hobby costs, so you're half way there :)
You're also not in a huge rush, which is a good thing.
If you want the best helmet, go with the FPH2. I've heard Anime Fan makes great helmets, but you can't beat the Fettpride lid.
Also hit up woodman for the wookie braids, especially the real horse hair ones.
I look forward to your WIP thread. Post lots of pics.

Animefan actually sells Fettpride's FPH1 helmet, in multiple varieties. The authentic Fettpride FPH2 though, it's incredible and very well cast, it's hard to believe a human made it as it seems more manufactured. Fettpride also pressure casts his products, so there's no such thing as an air bubble with his merchandise, also incredibly light weight.

I have heard great things about Fettpride, I have also heard he's got some significant wait times. While it's not an issue today while I'm in the planning stages, it may become one when I get to the point that it's all I'm waiting on. The last piece is always the hardest to wait for and if it were the first piece I ordered that'd just be insult to injury.
