weathering techniques

Hello community, i,m looking to start my helmet which will be shipped to me shortly, some techniques on weathering would be much appreciated, I already know the salt weathering, but it does not work for scratches, especially the one across bobas right eye.

Hey Ryan,

I'm someone who was completely new to any sort of painting or costuming. If you haven't seen them yet, Welshwarrior on these boards has a 26 part set of youtube videos where he goes through every step to painting/weathering an ESB helmet. I'd highly recommend checking it! They were invaluable for a newbie like me!

this is the best step by step guide I have seen used it for my ROTJ helmet and its fool proof.

Very helpful. Took all of the techniques and applied them to painting my armor kit as well.
