Ronin Boba Fett

New Hunter
So I started this project with just a helmet back in October of last year, and I finally have the first version complete. Everything is made from eva foam or laser cut acrylic except for the girth belt and ammo pouch belt and cape which are made by Man of War Studios, the E33 flint lock blaster is made of MDF wood and laser cut ply wood with PVC pipe components, the leather skirts are sewn by my lovely wife, and a lot 550 cord haha. Anyways this is my Ronin Boba Fett Bandai Meisho Movie Realization. This is just the first version I still have many pieces to add, still need to make the shoes and jetpack, also some extra pouches and the sword. But for now this is the first wearable version, all critique and comments are welcomed.

Seriously love Bandai's interpretation of the shin tools. and that EE3! really great work man, definitely a one of a kind suit. are you eventually going with the samurai footwear and boot spike combo?

Thanks man! and you better believe it. I've been trying to draw up some concepts of how I would produce them but I think by next month I should have something physical. I'm probably going to have to use several different thickness's of foam but I cant wait to have this whole thing complete. I really want to bring this action figure to life. The Jetpack will probably the most difficult piece so I'm looking forward to that hell ;)..

As promised some updates finally, sorry for taking this long guys I've just been held up with other commissions but here is the jetpack so far. Honestly I thought this would be the most difficult part but once I started I couldn't stop, keep in mind this is built entirely from scratch and I had to design templates on the spot, so its not perfect. It is though very light in weight only having the main PVC pip in the middle being the heaviest part. But everything else is EVA craft foam. For the most part I just made a box with 1/2 inch floor foam sheets, and kept layering from there with different thicknesses of foam and googly eyes of course haha. Not entirely complete I still need to work on the actual rockets on the sides hoping to have that done by Thursday.

Making the templates for the Missile was probably the most challenging, I figured if you take a plastic bottle that's neck is relatively close to shape and size and cut it out and create a template with that by cutting it off the bottle and flattening it. Not sure if anyone has used this technique but I kinda just thought of it when I was having trouble looking for templates for the jetpack. Hopefully I'll have more updates this week.

Was able to have some more down-time with the Jetpack, and the weather decided last night to not be such an ******* until around 11 P.M. when it started to rain and I had to run my stuff inside. Anyways finished assembling and sealing the jetpack and gave its first 2 coats of paint last night.

So past weekend I got a lot done was able to finish the paint job on the Jetpack, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Although it did sustain some damage this weekend at Anime Fan Fest in NJ so I have to make repairs this week, but we hade amazing photos taken of me and my wife who's samurai Vader I finished just in the nick of time, so it was worth it haha. Both these costumes are no where near finished so stay frosty gentlemen you will be seeing more updates soon.;)
