Helmet question

I was offered this fiberglass ROTJ helmet from a friend of a friend, wondering if I could have some folks here confirm whether it would be a good buy or not.

From my limited knowledge, the paint scheme looks fair for ROTJ and it looks like the board is already installed behind the keyslots.

What are your observations? Go for it or stay away?

He's asking $325 for it

Looks good to me. Can't tell what cast that is, but for the price I think it's ok. Seems to have the wavy brow like the ESB so maybe it's a bobamaker lid?

Always difficult to say without seeing something in person. I'm thinking of a Bobamaker helmet? Maybe.
It looks quite small unless the person has huge hands. It also looks like there's a distortion in the dome in the top left (as wearing it).

Thanks

I suppose I should also specify that the goal is to join the 501st with it.

As long as there isn't anything blatantly wrong, I was gonna go for it. I just didn't want to get something that would take major retrofitting

That helmet and paint comes from korbanth or whatever on eBay...no doubt about it. I think he's the Sith planet guy.

I think the helmets he sells are marrow sun recasts

I can't quite tell on the my phone, but it also appears to have ESB physical damage.

If search completed auctions on on eBay for Boba Fett helmets, you'll see your helmet. Says something in the description about it being a mystery helmet.

For what it's worth...I've seen this guy's work up close. It was Fett armor and it was rough.

Gotcha. Anyway, I wouldn't buy this. The top helmet looks better than the other though. I've a feeling that isn't his.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Thank you all.

I understand if it's B grade, but is it good enough? I don't have a lot of funds or time to do it myself (I suppose i chose the wrong hobby :-D )

But if these are known to be low quality altogether, I'll stay away. Were ewokus and sith planet known to be approved by 501st? Or are they too inaccurate?

Man I'm torn, but your feedback is amazing! Please keep offering

Thank you guys! So glad I asked here before jumping into a purchase I'd regret

Now I'm just curious, what exactly is wrong with the makers mentioned in this thread? This is a newbie talking, but isn't a B grade helmet better than no helmet... or paying the price or time of having an A grade helmet?

Just looking for thoughts. You guys are amazing

Randy Johnson, I believe from Arizona. You will not be satisfied, just imagine yourself putting that money into something better.
