Taking advantage of the current lockdown in my country, I decided to fix the right ear of my Bobamaker SE helmet. It had faded to a pale champagne and was in desperate need of some saturation.
The general areas were masked off with tape and Maskol.
I airbrushed a heavily thinned combination of ochre earth and earth brown from Ammo MIG. Then, to the best of my abilities, I handbrushed the weathering patterns while eyeballing reference photos. I took the opportunity to fix some of the pre-existing errors.
Finally, brown splatters were added with an old toothbrush.
