1 piece vs 2 piece

I have noticed there are two versions of the vest and neck seal: combined (neck is attached to the vest) or two separate, individual articles of clothing. Is one better, or easier to wear, than the other, or is it a personal preference? Same goes with the flight suit. I have seen a top and bottom set, as well as one full outfit. Again, is this just a preference?

normally it's just a preference..however in the movie the neckseal was sewed on the flight suit . for my choice i keep it separated and i wear the neck after the flight suit and before the vest.
