As of late webley runs have come from every direction.
Well, seeing as it appears theres never going to be a time when theres not a run going I might as well give you all some details on mine.
I have been working the molds but have not had strength to demold anything. This weekend I went a little further, and poured the barrell.
The cool thing about this project, is I intend them to come out of the mold with no seam lines on any outward facing surfaces.
Meaning you wont clean them up. Im putting together a material list that will give the gun extremely durable properties. I intend to use a mixture of rubber, resin, float and other materials im workign with alumilite with, to create a gun thats extremely acurate.
Unfortunately this isnt going to be a $40 budget fett run. It will be sub 200 shipped item. I will most likely clean the flashing and test fit them all to make sure they are right before they ship. Each piece of the itemw ill be the correct color/material. The grips will be bronze, the dbracket gunmetal/silver gun black. stock dark brown so that any scratches/chips wont show white resin through. You know the deal. All the extra touches that make it viable for both use and long term wear.
Here, for your interest, is the first pic of a pulled barrell. No cleanup has been done on this. I simply swiped some rub and buff on the edges to give it a little bit of a worn look.
Input is welcome. Interest is even more welcome. At the end of the run my webley will be for sale for what I paid for it.
Pretty cool ehh? The above barrell is in shock resistant pourable plastic.
I dropped it from my loft onto carpeting and it didnt budge. On concrete, they 'scrape' but dont crack.
Because of the way Im creating this, i intend to be able to sell 'replacement' pieces so that if you do manage to break them, you wont need an entire kit. Just a barrell for $40.
