X-Mas Present For My Brother

HeadlessHunter

Well-Known Hunter
This time last year I was going through one of the worst times of my life, I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 4 years and my job was heading down the toilet, needless to say it was easily one of the worst Christmases I have ever experienced and I was determined that 2008 was going to be better. My older brother Ben has really given me the kick up the backside that I needed and helped me to realise that things can and do get better, so as a small thank you I decided to do something a little different for him for Christmas, he is a HUGE Battlestar Galactica fan and so I go hold of one of the Revell Colonial Viper kits and decided to build and paint it up for him as he is absolutely useless at it  Just a small way of saying thanks to him for helping me out, here it is right now from primer to paint, I tossed the decals as they were appalling and painted all the stripes by hand, I will have final pics up in a few days, thank you for reading this

CHEER UP. this is NOT a friendly sugguestion, but a threat. If you don't cheer up, I'll send a small tribe of Ewoks and Furbies to your place (I WILL find you) to cheer you up. Or eat you.

Probably Eat you.

and have a merry Christmas.

Better, daylight pictures to show the weathering and improvised battle damage, for this I used oil pastels as I did on my old ESB FPH, as well as black and dark grey washes, the base coat of the viper was actually flat white after using a black primer, it gave it a very nice light grey appearance
