I went to a leather supplier and got "leather thonging" that is 6 mm (1/4")

I used a pattern from MonCal

Thanks for answering.

I´ll use the same pattern for my skirt. I have to cut the squares, I buy a craftool strap cutter.

Could you tell me which is the thickness of leather thonging you've purchased. I'm trying to find in stores near my house and online but I worry that the leather lace that I buy has little thick and not support the weight of the skirt.


If you can you help me and show a picture of leather tonging that you have bought and tell me the brand.

Nomisha, sometime ago I cut squares of cardboard. Now it was reviewing the squares and just saw that I cut squares measuring 2 1/4 " high, as MaulMaus recommended in this thread.

I bought this from a leather retailer in Australia. It just says Genuine Leather Thonging 6 mm. Perhaps try Tandy leather?

I attempted to contact Pinnk Wesell once, but never heard from them. I assumed they no longer came to the boards (not that I did alot of searching to see, mind you.)

Pink contacted me a while ago, but things came up and I had to put this on hold. Those gloves are interesting, but I feel like there are simpler options out there. Must keep looking!
