What to use for Toe spikes

Anyone have a recommendation for what can be used to make a good set of toe spikes?

Or can anyone provide the length and diameter that they should be.

And finally do these pose any weapons problems at Con's

Try here ==> RafalFett's Misc Templates and Blueprints. Use the measurements from the first image. And I don't think the spikes are dangerous, only if you intend to use them to kick someone (but that's not recommended).

If you're going with the selfmade option, you could also follow Bobamakers tutorial here bobamaker: Aluminium Toe Spikes
i followed it myslef, but used wood dowels instead of alloy for the spike's themselves,i just pared them down with a pencil sharpener, angle cut them, used epoxy putty and a screw from the back/unseen side of the bar.
this is how it went
and this is how they turned out the diameter of the dowell is 10mm. hope this helps, good luck
