What is most used for the dark visor, and able to see thru?

I was looking at maybe a light gel used for stage lighting maybe?

Or maybe a piece of auto-tinting film?

Your best bet is to purchase a welding visor (shade#5) and cut it to size.

Here is an example. You may find cheaper ones out there, or you may have a local welding supply store in your area you could pick one up at and save shipping costs.

I saw someone on Instagram using window tint on plastic acrylic sheeting but the face shields linked above are easy to use and find.

Shade 5 welding visors are VERY dark. They can actually be hard to see through if you're not in a well lit location.
