Modified? How?
Correct. The helmet is from the legacy effects sideshow bust. The master mould by legacy effects, so makes sense they used the same mould for the deathwatch troopers and Fett’s post sarlacc helmet. IMO they should gone for a lineage helmet, to keep on the fett tradition.Well, again, there isn’t a “they” in this case. Legacy did not do Fett, another shop did. I assume that info will come out publicly after the season wraps up.
That's a great find. I was wondering if it was some kind of heatsink, I thought of trying to look after the show aired but I didn't want to fall down that rabbit hole.Belt greeb, thanks to Ryan Raven on Facebook. I just gave it a quick wet sanding pass to remove the black.
I am also interested in finding the Origins of the Helmet they used or "Proof" its fro mthe LEgacy Effects/Sideshow Bust molds. That makes the most sense to me, and really, I am just already tired of reading Facebook/Twitter/Whatever Social Media comments from arm chair Star War Fans and headlines to Click Bait articles that say something along the lines of , "It's obvious that to save money they simply used a repainted Black Series Helmet, you can tell because it is too small for Timothy Olyphant and the Black Series is a toy."
what is the length from key slots to visor and ear platform to ear platform on the BS?Im sick of people saying the BS is undersized. Its not. Im looking at it right now and can clearly see it was not used for the show. Ear caps and range dont match.
10.5" and 9.5"what is the length from key slots to visor and ear platform to ear platform on the BS?
10.5" and 9.5"
Length is good. Slight shrinkage in width from 9.8"ish. Minimal though.
The sideshow looks significantly wider and the cheeks are definitely deeper and sharper. The RF ear is thicker on the sideshow as well. Im not convinced this is the same helmet..If it is the Sideshow helmet, they changed the turn signals and dent at the very least.
