Star Wars Mash-up TMNsT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Storm Turtle), very PIC HEAVY

Went to Star Wars Celebration in April and saw this pic, and this is where I got inspiration...

Drew this up as a concept, wanted to change the armor to more muscular, and also drew up April O'rgana (April O'Neil and Princess Leia Organa's distant cousin)

Downloaded the Pepakura files and rendered this...

Started to add Styrofoam "muscle" details...

Got a better idea and started using green pack foam, easier to shape...

After some bondo and sanding, the armor started taking shape...

Next had to build a vacuum molder...

Only had one fail, but after a heat adjustment, and the HIPS (High Impact PolyStyrene) worked out well, even picked up some of the "vein" details (via hot glue)...

Pep'd out the helmets and Resin, Bondo and Rondo'd them...

So decided to texture the armor also. The smooth look wasn't "turtle-like", so just got basic wall texture and sprayed the armor and when it dried it gave a better look, and highlights...

Threw some paint on the armor to see how it would look...

Had to make hands and feet (craft foam covered with spandex)...

Now 95% complete, need some clean up, weathering, adjustments, and will finish the other costumes (will post those later)...here is where I am now...

Gotta say those are pretty cool , and dad points too! How long did you wrk on them?

All three of them about six months, first time ever vacuum molding, a little trial and error. But after I got mine completed the other two went a lot quicker.
