Space Shuttle Challenger lost--25 years ago today

Jan 28, 1986. Hard to believe it's been that long!
Here's an interesting article which discusses some facts and myths about the Challenger disaster.
One of them claims that not many people watched it happen live. I did. I rememeber watching the launch with my college roommate in our dorm at school.

Wow. I can not believe that was 25 years ago. Boy I am getting old. I remember that day. My brother was working at NASA in Norfolk and I remember him going in and everyone telling him that it blew up and he kept thinking this was a joke.

Wow. Unbelievable how time flys.

I saw it live as well. I was in 5th grade, and our whole school had an assembly and watched it live since they had the school teacher Christa McAuliffe on board as a special guest astronaut. Time does fly.

I was in freshman year Spanish class. The teacher came in crying and we spent the rest of the day watching the news coverage on TV. Sad, sad memories.
