HOLY CRAP BATMAN! I just looked in on this thread to see how it was going, usually I am not all that impressed with scratchbuilt stuff (I am impressed with the work that goes into them but usually not the final product) But DAMN..your helmet looks fantastic. The paint job looks incredible. Had you not posted pics of it in progress I would have never beleived it was scratch built. Great job.

freakin' awesome!!! the ONLY thing i can see that needs adjustment is the dome - looks a bit too tall.

like I posted elsewhere and it may help you, be on the lookout at the dollar store, during the holiday season you can pickup little railroad crossing signs with two blinking LEDs that run off of a 2 double A batbox, best thing for my helm ever, now Im just putting in another switch so the turn on when the RF is down.

K......all done. Installed the walmart flashlight rf board, and mercury switch. Works great. I love walmart man.

The flashlight was a 2 D-cell Ever-ready flashlight. It was made out of a very hard clear red plastic. Think it was called "find it".... The board inside is tiny and I powered it up with a 3v watch battery. It caught my attention because it has a single blinking red led on it so when the lights go out.........you can find your flashlight I guess lol. Be warned, getting the board out of it without damaging it is tricky because the plastic is verrrrrry hard and cracks easily and the way the board is set in the flashlight you run the risk of breaking it during the "dissassembly" process. I'll see if I can find a pic.

I've had the pleasure of seeing this bucket in person and let me tell you its the most amazing work I've ever seen. Considering its made completely from scratch without a mold its fantastic!!! Its a bit small but otherwise I LOVE it!!!

Unfortunately I didn't make templates when I made the bucket. I was working on a third, slightly larger version and started making templates for that one, but scrapped the project.....because I wanna MS! I used a combination of the measurements from TK 409's beautiful site, and eyeballed the curved parts and such. I'd be glad to help you in any way I can.....just shoot me a PM.
