Scratchbuilt Jango

I tried the rub-n-buff over a silver under-coat, but it didn't turn out as nice as I would've liked. Instead, I used a flat black under-coat, then applied the ru-n-buff over that. I got a much nicer and shinier finish out of the rub-n-buff.

Just some food for thought from a fellow scratch-built Jango. ;)

Interesting... I'll have to try a comparison on a scrap of plastic first. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, unfortunately I don't have a progress update as I am away on holiday so didn't have much spare time on my last day at home to get anything done. However I did make a template for the visor so when I get back I will be able to cut a solid visor out of a sheet of perspex I have and install that i the helmet.

Yeah if your gonna stick withthe silver under make shore you lightly sand using 800 grit wet and dry paper and and water wilst sanding so that you take the gloss of ,rub n buff wont go on to a shiny surface that well
