Just picked up a Rubies Chewbacca off ebay for $132.50 and wanted to see if it is as bad as everyone says. It is definitely not WOW worthy due to the patchy hair and oversized floppy mask, but I like it for the price I paid. I wouldnt pay +$300 for it though and glad I didnt.
To fix the face and be able to see out of it, I bought a baseball helmet with facemask tonight. I dremeled off the top wire of the facemask and the brim of the helmet. That way it pushed the snout out a little and the helmet filled in the top of the head. I had to remove the ****** foam on the inside top of the mask. Im going to display this costume next to my Bossk, once I finish. Might use it for Halloween but will have to work on making him taller with some paint cans or stilts.
