Hey man, I hope that you understand where I am coming from with these questions. Better a friend that steps in to ask before anyone else. I too would rather lay to rest any doubt so it doesn't have to come up again on you or who ever is the secret behind this project. That being said, if there are pictures of the earlier stages of the sculpting process, perhaps the "Maker" of this bucket should post those pics. I think that would end a lot of question about this piece once and for all... As the helmet appears from the start of this thread, it looks to be a completed helmet that has been fixed up with bondo and so fourth. Thats why I am suggesting that early pics of it would imply its built from the ground up rather than the modification of another. And if possible please let the maker speak up, its a great looking piece and he should be proud of it!!! Again man let me stress... I am not in anyway trying to rain on what looks to be a job well done or impliment a recaster threat! Just better to get it out there so its a sealed subject.
