Blaster My re-paint of my Sidewinder EE3 ROTJ

Hi all, I managed to pull apart my EE3 from Sidewinder to try and get it accurate as possible for my skill level.

I used Vallejo acrylics, water, my finger and a micro fibre cloth.

Oh and some 0000 steel wool.

Have to say I am very pleased with the results and I hope you like it too.

My phone tends to make grey look like blue and yes I’m missing a small part as it broke unfortunately but easily replaced.

way too 'rusty', tone it down, overall is a bit too beat up, starting to look like an artifact instead of a functioning weapon

Yeah Rustoleum chrome, then light grey coat and then black/brown as a base to work on.
Used an airbrush bar the Rustoleum.

Details and look with brushed on brown, orange and tiny bit of yellow.

I let it dry, not fully and used a brush to blend.
Wire wool for some and liquid latex for the details.

It still needs a tad more work before I’m happy.

I just did these the last few days, testing some aging stuff, I didntdo a silver base though, but Im content with it. also not seen is a wooden paint job on thebutt stock

Looking good, it’s BoBF blaster should look a lot newer than my rust bucket

Is it wooden? Because my Sidewinder was made to look like wood with grain.
Which is incorrect for ROTJ, not sure about your one.

Im going for the all white prototype fett, and already taking some liberties with him having the EE-3 as is, and the side arm, as the original video footage of him in all white had a modified uzi and the star wars towel. Theres also a few grey items on the suit that Im choosing to do all white, anyways I decided to make the guns look more rusted and chromed since im a painter in real life, i had to have some fun somehwhere since everything else is just white.

p.s. Im also making a Grogu in carbonite back pack as an alternate to my jetpack. Once I have a good portion of things done ill start a build post showing everything, I also have a McQuarrie helmet as another helmet option.
