Looking for details on how to attach Fett's jetpack to the rest of the outfit

I've been looking around the forum for a year or so just looking and joined the forum a couple of weeks ago In the last two years my son has wanted me to build him a Han Solo costume and a FO stormtrooper costume for Halloween. They all came out pretty good for a 6 and 7 yo. Now he wants to be Boba Fett this year. Quite a jump in costuming for a soon to be 9yo. I've started on the blaster and now am looking at the jet pack. I've got prints from the forum but now I'm wondering how do I go about attaching it to his costume that's not going to be overly complicated for a 9yo? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

A lot of people have harnesses under their back armor, which is screen accurate.

However I attached my jetpack, a 3 lb scratch built one, directly to the back armor with screws. At the top are white straps that appear to support it, and at the bottom I have a belt with silver d-shaped buckle.

In this way it basically hangs on my shoulders and waist like a backpack. The collar armor helps support the top, the back armor rests on my shoulders, and the belt holds the bottom in.

BTW, I am 501st approved with this. So if you make it look good it'll be great.

The link didn't work. but that gives me an idea. His armor is going to be foam armor attached to a gray shirt so it won't hold the weight of a pack but I could rig up an old backpack harness to the inside of the shirt and attach the pack to that through the armor/shirt. That way when he puts the shirt on with the armor the weights on his shoulders and its comfortable, and the backpack straps are hidden from view.

A lot of work for a costume he's only going to wear one year. lol. But he's having fun helping me build it.
