I would replace the ear caps , back vent and pretty much completely reshape the checks , could the helmet possibly be 501st approvable , the blue lines are the parts I would modify

At that point you really ought to just use an accurate casting. Plenty of good choices these days.

I would look into a accurate cast as well, the bucket they have for the BS is just a repaint of the ESB BS bucket

Even for just cosplay purposes? where would you consider getting a cheaper ESB build?

Oh, just for cosplay I think it's more than fine. But if you ever wanted to take the EFX to 501st level it's a bit of a slog.

my plan is to scale the rest of the helmet off the dome as the dome in the show is quite close to the black series one then once I have dimensions I will make a template then use that to cut out parts in polystyrene sheets, then I will use filler and other stuff to get the shape of the helmet right then make a mould of it and make a fiberglass one , It would take a while but it would be fun to do
