They are in the country!!..................awaiting customs charges, I'm sorry but I've just about had enough of paying extra for items like this to be shipped here, I think I've run up about $250 worth of customs charges alone this year :facepalm

Tell you what Eric, let me think about that for a while, I'll get back to you I fitted them in about an hour, drew up some quick templates for the hole positions and there we are

Finally got some paint on my ears, had a bit of trouble, the paint just wouldn't adhere to the ears, so after consulting with the oracle (Spidey) I tried again using no thinner and ta daa..Thanks Alex

I'll have to remember that trick of no thinners when using those paints! cheers Joe/Alex...

Its a great feeling not to have to paint the silver bits as they always looked, well, silver and not metal enough

Ok, small update to blow the cobwebs off this old thread! I am calling the front section finished now!! apart from final installation of the visor obviously, I am happy with the weathering I have added and feel I need to focus my attention on the back of the helmet, the tan and main blue/green are down I am now working on the silver/grey areas, I am still very happy with how this has turned out, its only my 2nd ever helmet!! and to say I was worried about ruining it is an understatement!!
