I think he is asking what we all are wondering is what the heck is going on here. lol
Well, I see basic knee armour. The rest downward is all leather upper the is tied to the boot in some way.

Also on close inspection of pics, the Knee armour is attached to the leather band/pouch section near the top,

Leather band with pouch, soft leather section that has a small shin section that has leather covering it, then pleated sections of a soft leather also.

Is this one section or several that piece together?

Depends how accurate you want. I see some people are folding leather where it is not folded, more layered. Without any BTS photos or footage we are all flying a bit blind. I will be building this part with several layers of various colours, Velcro closure at the rear.
