I am SOOOOOOOO disappointed with every HP movie but the first two. I love the books, having read them all numerous times, and to see them transferred into film so badly from 3 onward is incredibly frustrating. I understand cutting things out for time and all that, but why does it seem like they just tore up the books, randomly threw away half of the pages, then put the rest into a hat and whatever order they came out is the order that they went into the movie?
People may say "oh well its just little changes", but dialog, meaning, setting, and situation are not little changes, especially when it comes to a story that is so absolutely dependent on the little things that are so carelessly tossed aside by the film makers.
The problem comes when those responsible just don't care enough to do an acceptable job. Perfect example is Michael Gambon who plays the new dumbledore in all the "new" movies. He is quoted many times as saying that not only has he never read the books, but he never plans to, and instead just plays dumbledore as himself with a big beard. This shows through dramatically throughout his portrayal. Not once during any of his scenes has he captured the character he is portraying. Plus he's fat and short so that doesn't help :wacko He has turned one of the best, deepest characters in any story, into a walking, talking one-liner machine.
