I've been chomping at the bit to get a look at how the Wachowski's were going to interpret one of my favorite childhood cartoons, I thought the casting for the movie was perfect and then last night raced home in time to see the first trailer premier on ET, and after watching it for a second time over the internet in HD, all I can say is I'm "OFFICIALLY STOKED" :thumbsup: for the another movie coming up in 2008! :love (right after IRONMAN of course)

Awesome news!!! I loved that show. Me and my brothers use to watch the cartoon when I was younger. Im really glad they got Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski to direct the movie.:thumbsup: They've done some top notch films in the past.:thumbsup:
 
Hmmmmmm...I don't know...:facepalm

I was a huge Speed Racer fan growing up and that trailer just made me wince uncomfortably. Some things just don't translate into live action and this may be one of them. I hope I'm wrong.
 
I grew up on SR as well and everyone has a different vision and how they would do things, its nice to see something inventive that has what "seems" to be true to the spirit of SR. We shall see.
 
I just downloaded the new Speed Racer trailer.
I loved watching it as a child, I guess we we have to wait and see how the movie turns out.
I did notice something kind of cool, his Boots!
