Form for Jetpack

What method of making the form for the jetpack do you guys recommend? Sculpt from foam or build a mock up out of wood? Im a complete novice when it come to building these

Depends on what your trying to do I guess...Ive been building one for the wife from styrene plastic and bondo, and foam among other things
