After 20 months, hours and hours of work I’ve finished my sons Mandalorian costume.

Lid and blaster are 3D printed, the rest was formed using pvc foam sheets which is pretty amazing stuff.

Used your Jango templates and re-sized them.
Rub n Buff on the armour, hand plates and lid were airbrushed using Alclad.

He loves it.

I was at Wales Comic Con yesterday and my wife brought him up for a few hours.

What a great job! Knowing first hand what it takes to get a suit like that, really, kudos to you sir! I did a ROTJ Fett not too long ago and am presently working on a Boushh (Leia) costume for my daughter, which is shaping up nicely!

But again, yours is great! You kid looks like he had a great time!

Thanks all. Yeah he loved it.
I’ve just bought him a bag for his lid and sewn on a mudhorn. I’ve bought him a Mando backpack and it all fits in …

Sad thing now is I don’t know when he’ll wear it next.
Hopefully he’s got a years worth of wear before it becomes too small.

I love it too. It was a lot of work though.
Stupid sewing machine didn’t help.

Really nice job on the suit, lots of hours indeed . But you have a great memory and experience with your son, to look back on. He is a great kid, glad you two enjoyed the con as well.
