Note: This listing has been changed to reflect all of the latest accuracy updates/changes!

I have been working on this project for a while now and after some accuracy upgrades and new tooling, it is finally ready. These jetpack harnesses are assembled with accurate components including a 12mm, 18 gauge 316L stainless steel pipe with the proper bend radius. This harness is designed to be very close to the screen-used harness and fits perfectly into the small of your back / under the backplate.

All seatbelt straps will come pre-sewn to the frame. There are multiple options to choose from:

  • Frame cross-section attachment:
    • Rivets
    • Pressed/Clinched Joints (screen accurate)
  • Buckle:
    • Plastic buckle
    • Genuine vintage US Divers buckle
    • Replica US Divers buckle
    • Replica PP1/Supertrooper buckle
  • Strap Style
    • 4-Panel 2" seat belt webbing (ESB / ROTJ / PP2)
    • Plain 1.75" webbing (Supertrooper/Prototype/PP1)
The only items that will require attaching are the 2 white straps. The metal rings will already be sewn to the white straps but due to variations in jetpack setup, you will have to attach these to the harness yourself. Rivets and chicago screws are provided with your order to attach the white straps in case you are not comfortable with a sewing machine. I will also provide 4x strong jewelry pins so that you can fit test the white straps / jetpack before permanently attaching.

Here are two examples of completed harnesses - one model with rivets and one with clinched/pressed joints:

Several of these frames are already assembled with more to come. This is not a limited run but more of an announcement that these are now available for purchase going forward. Lead time right now is a few days for the first few orders using the currently built frames. In the future lead times will depend on what materials I already have on hand (i.e. sourcing a US Divers Buckle if I am out of stock).

Please comment here or send me a DM if you are interested in purchasing one. For sizing, all I need to know is your general T-shirt size. Harness will arrive with excess strapping - this is on purpose. Once you adjust the harness to fit you perfectly simply trim the excess strap (leaving a little for normal adjustment).

Price:
  • $220 (with plastic buckle)
  • $240 (with replica buckle)
  • $260 (with vintage US Divers buckle)
Will ship with USPS priority shipping ($20 anywhere in the US). I will ship internationally as well, however the price may be higher due to shipping cost.

These look amazing!
Thank you PropReplicator2 !

Small updates:
  • Replica buckles have been added as an option for your order
  • 2" 4-Plane straps/webbing is now being used instead of the 5-plane webbing (1.75" regular, plain webbing is available for PP1/supertrooper kits)
  • Accurate spot welds are now being added to the frame per visual references (will post details / picture tomorrow)
More buckle options are now available, including Supertrooper/PP1 replicas. These are fabricated using vintage Seatec buckles from that era as a base.

Once Full Metal Fett is back to normal business / shipping to the US, I will offer his buckles and triglides with the kits :)

For those who have already purchased, please reach out and I will send you the accurate 4-plane webbing if you would like to swap it out. If you would prefer to ship the harness back to me to swap the straps out for you, I would be more than happy to do so! I will also add the spot welds for you once received.

Pricing remains the same, but has been updated in the initial post to add the "replica buckle" category.

Sheeeeeeesh! Incredible work.
Thank you!

Small update: after spending a few days practicing welding, today I finished the first harness frame with all of the spot welds. This step took more work than anticipated but I am happy with the consistency I am able to achieve now. Spot welders are more finicky than you would think!

All harnesses going forward will include the spot welds.

Received my new press this week and wanted to share a quick update on the harness build process. I’m moving away from using rivets for most of the construction and will now be attaching the cross sections using clinching (the same method used on the screen-used harnesses).

Initial strength tests have been really promising. The bottom jetpack support bar will still be attached with two heavy duty stainless steel rivets.

I keep telling myself that I’m done with updates, but here we are! It bothered me that this detail has been missing, so i experimented with different things. I believe that what we are looking at are 2 set screws just below the bottom clinch joints.

I added 2x 5/32” steel set screws below the pressed joints.

I’ve ordered some 11/64” ones for the production harnesses (5/32” seems just slightly too small to my eyes).

Once the set screws arrive I will fulfill all remaining orders. You will have the choice between silver (stainless) or black (regular steel) for these, as it’s unclear in the grayscale reference photo. I’m leaning towards stainless being the actual color used on the original.

Greetings Sir, do you happen to sell the Belt "X'' adjuster?
Not yet, I have made 1 prototype triglide but it is not quite where I want it yet (most of my time right now is spent on the harness/straps). full metal fett does depending on where you are located (I am not sure if he is shipping to the US again yet).

You can kind of see the prototype triglide here. If I can get the fabrication down then I will offer them but Full Metal Fett’s are perfect.
