don post 1995?

is a don post 1995 a good helmet? i heard bad things about rubies and the master replica helmets but i don't recall hearing about this one.

It's a great "starter" helmet. Something to give you some experience painting your first helmet. I wouldn't call this a finished product by any means, but it's good place to start honing your skills.
Definately worth buying one if you can find it cheap.

DP95s are definitely a great helmet. Not the best if you're going for a super accurate costume, but a good starter helmet and can actually look pretty great with a good amount of hard labor.

i picked up a dp95 simply because of the history involved with that helmet. without that helmet i don't think the hobby would be where it is today.

they pop up on ebay fairly often for around $50-ish. there are two different interior colors, white and green. apparently the white is the better of the two, but i have a green interior and it's in amazing shape and i'm very happy with it.

just made a deal with a guy .. also on craigslist and got me one its still in its box so i dont know the interior color but im sure i will be happy thanks Mike aka saint_nasty

update- its a 1996 don post and i will be picking it up Saturday... its costing me 60$ not sure if thats a deal but its still in its box and i dont have to wait for shipping 'cause hes local

The 96 is still a decent helmet to modify and repaint. The 95 is a supposed to be the best of the three years DP made these. That one looks to be pretty good. I would try and avoid buying a 97 though. Hope it works out!​

In the box, nice! I'm a proud DP '96 owner, and I'm proud of it, I like it quite a bit for my Mando.

Only thing I hate is... the right cheek (looking at the front.) It's not symmetrical D:

Still a great helmet, and for 60 (I got mine for 80, though it had some work done on it) that's a great deal for a SIB '96. Nice find

looking at modding this one too ... my wish list is a voice amp, range finder lights and some other small details like the circuit board in the back as well as painting it to look like jodo

what do you call the little round thing thats on the right cheek close to the visor? 'cause it doesn't have one of those either from the looks of it

Hmm, from the angle of that picture you can't see it, but it should have one, mine does.

And I can't wait to see those mods ^.^

Its a bordon connector. If you are doing a custom mando then don't worry if its not there
